After his European tour, Marc Brys, at the center of the dispute between FECAFOOT and the Ministry of Sports, has set a condition for his return to Cameroon.

Following his signing of a contract with the Ministry of Sports of Cameroon, Marc Brys embarked on a European tour where he met several Cameroonian players with the aim of establishing a healthy relationship with them.

Despite the fact that his appointment remains highly contested by the Cameroonian federation, Marc Brys has indeed begun his work at the helm of the Indomitable Lions by conducting a European tour in search of new talents. The new coach is already structuring his national team and aims to be ready for the qualifiers of the 2025 AFCON and the 2026 World Cup with a complete squad.

Along with his staff, Brys is expected in Cameroon in the coming days to finalize the schedule for the training camp and the practical modalities related to the preparation for the first match, which will take place in Cameroon in June. However, he has conditioned his visit to Cameroon on a prerequisite.

Indeed, the former Louvain coach has asked the Minister of Sports, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, to “regularize and calm the conflict situation prevailing between the ministry and the Cameroonian Football Federation.”

This is the information coming from our colleagues at Africa Foot United. The Antwerp native does not wish to be associated with a dual system, especially at a time when rumors of the FECAFOOT’s appointment of a parallel staff are becoming increasingly insistent.
