More than a month after Marc Brys was appointed as coach by the Ministry of Sports on April 2, the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot), led by Samuel Eto’o, has finally ratified the arrival of the technician.
In a spirit of openness, the emergency committee of the Cameroon Football Federation under the leadership of its president has decided to play the card of appeasement. By choosing to keep the veteran Belgian technician in his post, Fecafoot strikes a balance. It respectfully validates the government’s choice, which remains the funder, and also makes its own contribution to the development of the coaching staff of the Indomitable Lions.
Marc Brys has been blessed by the president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o, and confirmed as the new coach of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions. The strong comeback of Martin Ndtoungou Mpile and the notably remarkable entry of David Pagou into the technical staff of the Indomitable Lions are being discussed diversely by Cameroonians. However, these two men have one thing in common: their penchant for beautiful play.
They will undoubtedly be a great asset in the Belgian’s sleeve. By doing so, Fecafoot lays the foundation for a crisis exit without losing face, as it proves that it retains a degree of autonomy. It can be imagined that the Ministry of Sports and Brys, in a bid for appeasement, will accept these adjustments. Unless this saga has more twists in store!
The Cameroonian people, by and large, are now waiting for the response from the Ministry of Sports. Will it prioritize the nation’s greater interest?
