“I’ve never seen so much persecution of a FECAFOOT president”.

Artist Lady Ponce lends her support to the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o.

The FECAFOOT, led by Samuel Eto’o, faced another setback this Tuesday. Just over two weeks before the matches against Cape Verde (June 8th) and Angola (June 11th) in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, the Indomitable Lions find themselves without a coach and staff. The staff appointed by Eto’o was suspended this Tuesday by the CNOSC, following the request of the Association of Amateur Football Clubs of Cameroon (ACFAC) and the Professional Football League of Cameroon (LFPC).

In this showdown, Samuel Eto’o can count on the support of the artist Lady Ponce: “Even a prisoner has rights. Samuel Eto’o, my fight, my beloved brother, how proud I am of you. Happy that you assert your rights. Yes, you have rights, you won this position through a vote, not an appointment, so if they want you to step down, they can wait for the next elections. Many don’t understand how you can assert your rights.

They always act as if the entire country belongs to them. They think they’re gods, trampling on those who refuse to bow down. Until proven otherwise, you remain the one and only president of FECAFOOT but as always, they want to silence you… I have never seen such persecution of a president of FECAFOOT.

Let them allow you to finish your term. They think they are gods and act like gods to drag through the mud the dignified son of the world that you are. They have spent their time dragging through the mud, all the dignified sons of Cameroon who have earned their living by working diligently. Nothing will happen to you, may the Lord bless you.”
