Former Cameroonian football star, Joseph Antoine Bell, has spoken out about the controversy surrounding the new coach of the Indomitable Lions.
In his statement, he emphasized how difficult it would be to imagine a coach accepting an offer that would put them in such a delicate position.
Bell also noted that Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Fécafoot, had stated that he was currently occupied with his father’s funeral—a commendable responsibility that requires his full attention.
Under these circumstances, it’s legitimate to wonder when Eto’o would find the time to involve himself in the search for a new coach and for what specific purpose.
Bell believes it’s time to put an end to this controversy, as a coach has already been appointed, and focus on the future of the national team. “I don’t see any coach, whether Cameroonian or foreign, accepting such an offer and putting themselves in such an uncomfortable position that could harm their reputation.
