Lions indomptables – Marc Brys: “We must respect Hugo Ekitike’s choice”.

This is what the Belgian coach, leading the national team of Cameroon, indicated to our colleagues at Le Monde regarding Hugo Ekitike.

The Franco-Cameroonian sees his future more with the French team than with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, where a wind of renewal is hoped for with Marc Brys.

“We must respect his choice,” commented the Belgian coach on Hugo Ekitike’s desired choice.

The Franco-Cameroonian now plays for Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

For several months, Hugo Ekitike has been courted by the Cameroonian Football Federation, but the player had not yet made a decision. There is still no official confirmation of his choice not to wear the Lions’ jersey.

In the meantime, Hugo Ekitike’s agent assures that the player “has never said anything to anyone about this, neither to the Lions’ coach nor to the media.”
