Named at the helm of the Indomitable Lions just a few weeks ago, Marc Brys may not have had the opportunity to oversee any matches if his dismissal were to be confirmed.

But what is happening within the Cameroon national team? The situation regarding Belgian coach Marc Brys being fired or not by the Indomitable Lions is still quite unclear…

The saga surrounding the coaching staff of the Indomitable Lions is taking a new turn. The latest episode is the decision of federation president Samuel Eto’o to sack the new coach Marc Brys, in response to the Minister of Sports.

Indeed, FECAFOOT announced on Tuesday the departure of coach Marc Brys, just a month and a half after his appointment. The arrival of the Belgian, officially confirmed on April 9, had been imposed by Minister of Sports Mouelle Kombi, to replace Rigobert Song, who was not retained after the team’s elimination in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 against Nigeria (2-0).

On Tuesday, the conciliation and arbitration chamber of the Cameroonian National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC), seized by amateur clubs of Cameroon (ACFAC) and the Professional Football League of Cameroon (LFPC), decided to suspend the appointments made by Samuel Eto’o. As a result, the coaching staff appointed by the president of FECAFOOT has been suspended by the Conciliation and Arbitration Chamber of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC).
