Marc Brys will embark on a tour across Europe this weekend to meet players who could be called up for the upcoming gathering of the Cameroon national team, the Indomitable Lions.

Far from controversy, the new head coach of Cameroon’s flagship national team is hard at work. The Belgian tactician departed Yaoundé on Monday, April 15, 2024, bound for Brussels. He didn’t return to his native country for vacation. Instead, Marc Brys is set to begin his first post-AFCON European tour to scout for new talents. The coach is expected to meet both new and former players.

“He will embark on a tour in several countries from Brussels in order to meet players who could be called up for the upcoming matches,” explained a collaborator of Rigobert Song’s successor to Équinoxe Radio. After making contact with the players, Marc Brys, the new head coach, is expected to make his initial selections. The Belgian tactician is also open to the idea of integrating local talents into the team.

Cameroon will play two matches in June, respectively against Cape Verde and Angola for the third and fourth rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The new staff of the Indomitable Lions officially assumed duty on April 8, 2024, in Yaoundé. They then toured the facilities that could host the activities of the flagship national team. “He was very impressed with the quality of the facilities,” our source indicates.
