Cameroon’s appointed coach, Marc Brys, has revealed his greatest fear following the exclusion of FECAFOOT from the Lions Indomptables’ next two matches. The standoff between Samuel Eto’o and the MINSEP is still experiencing twists and turns.
After some misunderstandings on Sunday, June 2nd, at the Hilton hotel, where the Lions Indomptables are staying, FECAFOOT mentioned, in a statement, its exclusion from the preparations of the Lions Indomptables for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
On Monday, June 4th, Marc Brys, his colleagues, and the Lions Indomptables felt Samuel Eto’o’s withdrawal from the preparations, notably due to the absence of training equipment.
Although MINSEP found ways to procure the necessary equipment and carry out the training, a fear lingers. “I’m not afraid of FIFA but rather of Samuel Eto’o; he’s unpredictable. Imagine if he cancels the matches, that’s where his power over us lies,” Marc Brys stated, as reported by several Facebook pages dedicated to news.
Prior to this, Marc Brys expressed his astonishment at the lack of equipment:
“We don’t have balls at the camp, we don’t have equipment, we don’t have gear. Do you think the training camp is proceeding normally?”
