Marc Brys has been at the helm of the Cameroon national team since April 8, 2024. His salary on the Lions Indomptables bench is now known.

Marc recently took over the reins of the Cameroon Lions Indomptables, succeeding Rigobert Song. Despite the heated debates surrounding his appointment by the Cameroonian government, and strong opposition from FECAFOOT to this unilateral decision, Marc Brys has indeed formalized his appointment as the coach of the Lions Indomptables.

Marc Brys’ contract and that of his team, including his assistants Joachim Mununga, François Omam Biyik, and Ashu Bessong, will extend for a “renewable two and a half years” period, encompassing the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup.

Although no official information about his salary has been disclosed, Le Monde newspaper has revealed that he earns a monthly salary of €40,000 (approximately 26,200,000 FCFA) – part of which is used to pay two of his assistants – funded by the State.

Chosen to be the new coach of Cameroon and inaugurated into his role on April 8 during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Sports, Marc Brys is already at work.

The Belgian coach has visited several sports facilities and has been supervising the players in preparation for the June international break, culminating in the resumption of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. This is while awaiting a meeting with members of the Cameroonian Football Federation, who still do not recognize his appointment.
