The Confederation of African Football (CAF) could make a decision on the investigation opened regarding Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), during the executive committee meeting.

The fate of Samuel Eto’o Fils is now being decided in Rabat, Morocco, where the executive committee meeting of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) was held on Friday, April 19, 2024. Chaired by South African Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of CAF, at the headquarters of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), these discussions will focus on the so-called match-fixing case involving the president of Fecafoot, Samuel Eto’o Fils.

For now, nothing is being disclosed about the details of this meeting. However, several sources in Rabat, Morocco, suggest that CAF’s executive committee will deliver its verdict regarding an investigation opened by the African football governing body into the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) for match-fixing and corruption.

While it is unclear if this issue is indeed on the agenda, many analysts within our circles are purportedly privy to the resolutions. It is worth noting that a few weeks ago, independent sources revealed to Le Courrier du Cameroun that CAF’s Ethics Committee had requested a five-year suspension against the former football star. This would potentially prevent the individual in question from running for re-election in December 2026.
