Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is leaving Bayern Munich as a free agent at the end of the season, a decision that has now been confirmed.
This afternoon, before the match against Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich held a farewell for two departing players, Bouna Sarr and Choupo-Moting. The former Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain players will leave the club this summer at the end of their contracts.
Having played a more significant role in recent years than his teammate, the Cameroonian striker took the opportunity to thank the Munich institution for his four years at Bayern: “I would like to thank FC Bayern for this wonderful and successful period.
It was a dream to play for such a great club. I always gave my all for the team and our fantastic supporters.” In 121 appearances for Bayern, Choupo-Moting scored 38 goals. The Hamburg-born player has not yet indicated his future plans.
