In a surprising declaration on the set of the show “Droit de Réponse” on Equinoxe Television, journalist and editorialist Edmond Kamguia made a statement that is bound to stir up conversation in Cameroon in the coming days.
“We cannot afford to exclude Omam Biyick from this team. As much as Samuel Eto’o is a legend, Omam Biyick is also a legend. Omam Biyick has contributed more to Cameroon than Samuel Eto’o. I say it and I stand by it,” he asserted.
This declaration comes amidst a tense atmosphere between the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education (Minsep) and the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) regarding the new coaching staff of the Indomitable Lions. Rumors have circulated that, under pressure from Samuel Eto’o, Omam Biyik will be relieved of his duties as assistant coach of the national team.
