The controversy surrounding the appointment of the coaching staff for the Cameroon national football team and the response from Samuel Eto’o Fils continues to raise eyebrows.

Georges Teguem, a member of the Cameroonian People’s Democratic Rally (RDPC), believes that the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), Samuel Eto’o Fils, by acting the way he did with Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, sought to belittle a minister of the Republic and the Republic itself.

On the set of the show “Right of Reply” on Equinoxe Tv, Georges Teguem urges Samuel Eto’o Fils to be careful and to adopt a position of wisdom.

“I would like to say to the president of Fecafoot, Samuel Eto’o, you cannot belittle a minister of the Republic without belittling the Republic. And in a rule of law state like ours, there are people who have gone to the IMF and the World Bank against Cameroon and have often regretted it. Mr. President of Fecafoot, you cannot belittle a minister of the Republic without belittling Cameroon, you cannot belittle the ‘high instructions’ of the President of the Republic without belittling Cameroon. Be careful, I invite you to reconsider, you are an intelligent and wise man,” Georges Teguem stated on the “Right of Reply” show on Equinoxe Tv.

The showdown between the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education and the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) is at its peak since the appointment of the staff on Very High Instructions from the President of the Republic, Paul Biya.

These appointments are contested by Samuel Eto’o Fils who, at the request of the Emergency Committee of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), appointed a new staff while maintaining Belgian technician Marc Brys as the national team’s coach-selector but reshuffling the composition of the national team’s technical staff.
