For Samuel Lobe, Belgian technician Marc Brys is an unknown figure in the world of football.

On the set of the show “Les Grandes Bouches” on Canal+, the consultant questions the basis on which the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, chose Marc Brys to lead the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. “It’s the minister who chose. I would like to know, as the small Samuel Lobe that I am, who chose him, it’s the minister, but on what basis, just one element, on what basis he could choose this technician […] Much more than surprised, I had never heard his name before he came to Cameroon. Afterwards, I tend to say that one should always give the product a chance. I did it for all coaches,” Samuel Lobe emphasized on the set of the show “Les Grandes Bouches” on Canal+.

Very realistic, Samuel Lobe admits, however, that Cameroon did not have the financial means, from a financial point of view, the capabilities to afford some foreign coaches whose names were increasingly mentioned. “I don’t really know what he’s worth, but I can tell you that Cameroon does not have the financial means to go after the coaches we were talking about before unless they make big financial sacrifices.

But there was a way, already someone like Webo could have applied for that position. I think he had the capabilities. And between Mr. Brys who is a complete unknown today, that doesn’t mean he can’t succeed, and Mourinho, there was still room to go after other coaches who knew Cameroon a little better,” Samuel Lobe declared on Canal+.

The appointment of Marc Brys and a new technical staff has elicited a disapproving reaction from the Cameroonian Football Federation and its president Samuel Eto’o Fils. The head of Fecafoot contests the legality of the decisions made by Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
