The former Egyptian international, Mido, has harshly criticized the president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), Gamal Allam.
Mido, the former star striker for the Pharaohs of Egypt (50 caps, 19 goals) has slammed Gamal Allam, the head of Egyptian football, for appointing Nabil Alaa as the technical director of the EFA. The former forward for Zamalek and Marseille believes indeed that Alaa lacks the necessary qualifications. “The appointment of Nabil Alaa as the technical director of the EFA violates FIFA’s laws.
This man does not have the qualifications needed for this position. It’s a scandal for the EFA,” he notably raged in a post on X (formerly Twitter), pinpointing what he sees as poor management of the organization. “I call on the Minister of Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, to intervene immediately,” he added.
The president of the Federation accused of lying Confident in his stance, the coach, who has been unemployed since the end of February 2023, went as far as to accuse Allam of spreading lies when the latter denied the accusations, assuring that Alaa possesses the “certifications” necessary for the role of technical director. “Unfortunately, Gamal Allam is a liar!
