Mohamed Salah, throughout his career, has regularly been associated with PSG to wear his jersey.

Rumors of a transfer of Mohamed Salah to PSG have been fueled by several meetings, including a dinner in London in January 2023 between the Egyptian and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. However, such a transfer has never taken place and does not seem to be considered.

As Le Parisien explains, if Salah and the Parisian president have known each other for almost ten years, their relationship remains professional and marked by mutual respect, without real friendship.

Qatar, in search of an Arab star to strengthen its image in the region, has long considered recruiting the “King of Egypt”, but obstacles have slowed down this ambition.

In 2017, while Salah was shining at AS Roma, PSG was interested in him, but a political veto from Doha blocked the operation.

A diplomatic crisis breaks out between Qatar and several countries, including Egypt, making any negotiations impossible.

Salah finally signs for Liverpool for €42 million and becomes a legend of the Reds, accumulating titles and distinctions.

Salah has no chance of joining PSG this summer

During his time at PSG, Unai Emery spoke of Parisian interest in Salah, but the club did not have the space for him, with superstars like Neymar and Mbappé in attack.

Today, at 32, Salah no longer fits the profiles sought by Luis Enrique and Luis Campos, and despite ties of friendship with Al-Khelaïfi, a transfer to PSG seems out of the question.

Although rumours persist, the Egyptian never wanted to leave Liverpool, where he is an undisputed pillar.

His recent astronomical offer from Saudi Arabia shows that he is still the center of attention, but Paris is no longer a destination considered.
