“Whoever wants to go far must take care of their mount.” This maxim perfectly illustrates Real Madrid’s policy of preparing for the future.

It’s this foresight that allows the club to consistently stay at the top and be considered a favorite in the race for the La Liga title each season.

In line with this strategy, the Madrid club already has a target in mind to fill the right-back position, currently occupied by veteran Dani Carvajal.

The Spanish club is reportedly eyeing Trent Alexander-Arnold, seen as the perfect successor to the 32-year-old player.

With the announcement of Jurgen Klopp’s departure from Liverpool, a new era seems to be on the horizon for the Reds, and several players might consider moving on, including the English international. However, despite Real Madrid’s keen interest in Alexander-Arnold, a past statement from the player expressing his attachment to FC Barcelona could complicate Madrid’s plans.

In a previous interview, the 25-year-old defender had mentioned his fondness for the Catalan club, which might raise concerns among Madrid’s executives.

Despite these potential obstacles, Real Madrid is seriously considering making an offer for the Englishman, whose contract with Liverpool is set to expire in June 2025, hinting at a transfer opportunity for the Spanish club.

Should Real Madrid make a good offer, Liverpool’s management might let the player go. Of course, this would partly depend on the player’s decision to join the Spanish outfit.
