As confirmed by several reliable sources in Spain and elsewhere, Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave Liverpool to join Real Madrid.
When Fabrizio Romano makes a statement, it means the deal is serious. This Tuesday, the journalist confirmed Marca’s report that Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold had reached an agreement with Real Madrid to join them at the end of the season.
A “non-transfer” as it stands, since the 26-year-old England international will reach the end of his contract with Liverpool in three months. Like David Alaba, Rüdiger, and Mbappé, Real Madrid has apparently once again caught a whiff of a deal by courting the player early on to acquire him at a reasonable price.
Just yesterday, the wheels were turning. Several sources confirmed that the deal between Madrid and TAA was sealed, with only the signing remaining to make it official. Information that left little room for doubt.
An announcement that, understandably, was not well received by a majority of Liverpool fans, who were certainly hoping to keep one of their best players. Some of them didn’t hesitate to react, even going so far as to cross the line.
Indeed, one of the Reds’ fervent fans didn’t hesitate to burn Alexander-Arnold’s jersey, a player he loved more than anything, to express his anger… The supporter in question obviously didn’t forget to film his act.
What’s worrying now is how the English club’s fans will receive Trent Alexander-Arnold after this break. The Reds’ position, comfortably leading the Premier League (12 points ahead of Arsenal, second), should help calm the ardor of a TAA exit, but still…
