Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has fired the opening shots in a burgeoning war of words with his arch-rival Tyson Fury.

The boxer has promised to use the Gypsy King’s own words against him when they finally face off in the ring.

In a candid interview, the 33-year-old British-Nigerian sensation revealed he’s holding onto every taunt and mockery from his anonymous foe, “meditating” on the remarks and storing them in his memory as fuel for their future battle.

Anthony Joshua warns Fury
“He’s one of my rivals, someone I want to compete with someday,” growled Joshua, typically reserved, in a YouTube video when asked about being called a sausage by Fury.

“Everything he says, I’m keeping in my memory, and when the fight happens, I want to use it as fuel,” he added.

The imposing champion, once holding the IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles, is back among boxing’s elite after a devastating loss to Andy Ruiz. Following a strong 12-round rematch victory against Ruiz, the Nigerian has since stylishly rebounded before falling twice to former heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Since then, he has recorded three impressive wins, notably against fellow African and former MMA star Francis Ngannou of Cameroon.

Ahead of what many anticipate will be a highly anticipated fight against Fury, Joshua was questioned about Fury’s insults, and his response is surely a warning to the Gypsy King.

Known for his calm and composed demeanor, Joshua’s unusually fiery comments have boxing fans eager to see who will have the guts to trade verbal blows with the sports superstar.

As the world awaits another blockbuster between Joshua and Fury, the Gypsy King is set to return to the ring in December for a rematch against Usyk, with Anthony Joshua scheduled to face Daniel Dubois before that.
