After the match against Villarreal (4-4), Joselu Mato spoke to Real Madrid TV. He discussed the performances of his teammate Arda Güler.

The Real Madrid prodigy was anticipated to shine in this final month of the season, but certainly not at such a high level of performance. Arda Güler had already shown glimpses of talent in late-game situations, and he is now fully confirming it. With little playing time, the Turkish player is incredibly efficient, having scored 6 goals in less than 400 minutes of play with the white house this season. It’s a record. Not even Cristiano Ronaldo or the legendary Di Stefano had achieved such feat.

Against Villarreal, young Arda played alongside Joselu, who had positive words for him after the match on Real Madrid TV. The Spaniard believes that everyone has taken good care of this gem.

“He’s a talent, a gem. I think we’ve taken good care of him throughout the year. He didn’t start on the right foot due to injuries, but we supported him. We treated him as if he were our little brother, especially the veterans. He’s demonstrating all his talent, which is nothing new. He was already showing it in training and last year. He’s a boy with a great future ahead of him, and he will bring a lot of joy to Real Madrid fans,” he said.

Then he also talked more broadly about the match against Villarreal: “I think the first half was very good. The team was effective offensively. These are matches that serve to prepare us for what awaits us in two weeks, so that everyone arrives fresh and with rhythm. We didn’t play much in the second half, but we must take the positives to keep moving forward.”

Also scoring in this match, Joselu brought his total to 18 goals this season: “I am very happy and pleased because it’s always special to score with this shirt. I am personally very content. I am happy to contribute.”

Finally, the Madrid striker sent a message to the supporters ahead of the final: “Let them have confidence and support us as they have done so far. They have been important throughout the season, and we would be nothing without them. We saw it in the second leg of the semifinal. It’s the support of each one that leads us to the title.”
