Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, has two more matches to play this season before heading off for a break and returning for preseason after the Euro.

The Sky Blues will first face West Ham in the 38th and final matchday of the Premier League on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

It’s imperative for the Manchester side to secure a victory in this encounter to keep their title hopes alive for a fourth consecutive win.

Following the last Premier League matchday, Manchester City will move on to the FA Cup final, where they’ll be up against their cross-city rivals, Manchester United, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Wembley Stadium.

For these two crucial matches awaiting Manchester City and their manager, Pep Guardiola, they will have to cope without one of their key players. That player is their starting goalkeeper, Ederson. Unfortunately, his season came to an end after sustaining an injury during the match against Tottenham in the league.

The Brazilian goalkeeper suffered a fracture to his right orbital bone following a collision with Tottenham’s Argentine defender, Romero.

Although called up by Brazil for the Copa America, the goalkeeper is expected to return before the national team gathers.

For the remaining two matches, Manchester City will have to rely on their excellent backup goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega.
