“There were maybe 20 or 30 seconds left before we would have been out of the European Championship, and look at our mentality today. That makes a big difference. And what it can mean for the team in the future. It’s a great moment, but the tournament is still long.
We’ll only know its significance if we win the cup. In the next two weeks, we’ll see how important this moment (his goal) was,” said the Englishman in a press conference after the match. “It’s one of the goals that ranks among my most important.
