At the twilight of his football career, Lionel Messi has chosen to don his businessman coat.
Following in the footsteps of other football stars, the Argentine has just launched his own beverage brand.
Unlike his eternal rival who sells water (Ursu), Lionel Messi has introduced a hydrating drink aimed at professional and amateur athletes. A product he has launched in collaboration with Mark Anthony Brands, an Irish brand specializing in alcoholic beverages.
Messi’s beverage, bearing the name ‘Mas + by Messi,’ is expected to make waves in the United States, where La Pulga now plies his trade.
After his departure from PSG, he opted to join the MLS, intrigued by the project of promoting ‘soccer’ across the Atlantic ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The global tournament will be hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
Regarding the promotion of his beverage, Lionel Messi has just joined his Instagram account, leaving a lengthy message explaining his motivation for creating his own brand.
‘We created @masbymessi because I wanted a drink that I could share and enjoy with my family, friends, and teammates. I want to thank my family for accompanying me on this adventure as a founder of Más+,’ posted the Argentine star.
And he continued: ‘We are all very excited to share with you Positive Hydration.’”
