José Mourinho, the likely new manager of Turkish club Fenerbahçe, was present at the June 1, 2024, Champions League final at Wembley.

The Portuguese tactician closely followed the fiercely contested match between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

At the end of the game, it was José Mourinho’s former club, Real Madrid, that emerged victorious with a scoreline of two goals to nil, clinching the trophy. This marks the 15th time that the Madrid side alone has secured the Champions League trophy, further solidifying its position as the club with the most titles in the competition.

This extends Real Madrid’s lead over the second-most successful club in Champions League history, AC Milan, who have 7 titles in their trophy cabinet.

According to Portuguese coach José Mourinho, Real Madrid’s dominance in the Champions League is likely to continue next season. The former AS Roma coach recalls that despite already being formidable, the team will strengthen with the probable arrival of Kylian Mbappé next season.

This leads the Portuguese coach to believe that Real Madrid will be even tougher to beat next season.

“The Real Madrid team next season will have Mbappé, Bellingham, Vini, Rodrygo… It will be very tough for the other teams,” stated José Mourinho.

It remains to be seen if other top clubs such as Manchester City, Bayern Munich, or Inter Milan will allow such dominance to go unchallenged.
