Nabil Djellit sees Cristiano Ronaldo as a serious contender for the Ballon d’Or. In the “Les Grandes Bouches” show on Canal +, he highlighted that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner could be in contention for another trophy if he surprises at the Euro.
“If he goes to the Euro and scores 10 goals and Portugal wins the European Championship, isn’t he a natural candidate for the Ballon d’Or even while playing in Saudi Arabia?” the sports journalist questioned.
He added that individual performances, an important criterion for the Ballon d’Or, favor Ronaldo. Additionally, the growing significance of the Saudi Pro League enhances the chances of the Portuguese legend.
Xavier Barret tempered Djellit’s analysis by pointing out that despite Ronaldo’s impressive statistics at his age, his chances are slim.
