Cristiano Ronaldo will have to wait a little longer. After three matches for Portugal at Euro 2024, CR7 still hasn’t hit the target.

The 39-year-old all-time leading goal scorer has yet to open his account at this edition of the Euro, held in Germany.

To compound matters for the player considered the “Goat,” he watched without a significant reaction as his team suffered a defeat to Georgia.

Already qualified for the round of 16, Roberto Martinez’s men were on a mission to secure their top spot against the Georgians.

However, they ended up losing 2-0, with goals from Kvaratskhelia and Mikautadze.

Throughout the match, Cristiano Ronaldo, still searching for his first goal in the competition, attempted several times to win a penalty, but without success. This left the Al Nassr captain in a furious mood, resulting in the referee issuing him a yellow card.

Substituted after the hour mark, the Portuguese once again showed his frustration by kicking water bottles placed at the edge of the pitch.

Despite the defeat, Ronaldo’s team remains atop the group ahead of Turkey, who defeated the Czech Republic.

Georgia also finishes as one of the best third-placed teams in the tournament and will advance to the Euro 2024 knockout stage in their first-ever appearance in the competition.
