With just one year left on his contract with Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne has spoken out about his future and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a move to a more exotic destination.
He’s been heavily courted by Saudi Arabia, which promises him a very, very attractive financial offer.
De Bruyne considers that such an opportunity might not come around again, which has led him in recent weeks to include this new option in his contemplation of his future, especially considering he has almost exclusively played in England throughout his career. “At my age, one must be open to anything. We’re talking about incredible sums for what could be the end of my career.
Sometimes, one must consider it. If I were to play two seasons there, I could earn an incredible amount, comparable or even superior to what I’ve earned in the previous 15 seasons,” the Belgian midfielder confided to Het Laatste Nieuws.
