During Tuesday night’s clash between PSG and FC Barcelona in Catalonia, Ousmane Dembélé was targeted by his former supporters. Indeed, the Parisian number 10 was subjected to acts and racist chants during the match. Aware of the situation, PSG reportedly sent a letter to UEFA.
Facing FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, PSG initially succumbed at Parc des Princes (2-3). However, during their visit to Catalonia this Tuesday night, the capital club set the record straight before overtaking Barça, thus securing their spot in the competition’s semi-finals (1-4). Nevertheless, the evening wasn’t flawless for PSG. Dembélé fell victim to racism in Barcelona.
During the Champions League quarter-final second leg between PSG and FC Barcelona, Ousmane Dembélé was targeted by the Catalan supporters. After leaving Barça to join the red and blue club last summer, the French forward celebrated his goal, sparking the anger of the Blaugrana fans. Consequently, they directed their ire towards Ousmane Dembélé.
PSG Sends Letter to UEFA
According to RMC Sport, Ousmane Dembélé was subjected to acts and racist chants during Barcelona vs. PSG this Tuesday night. In protest, the capital club reportedly sent a letter to UEFA. It remains to be seen if any sanctions will be imposed.
