The situation between the French forward and the Paris Saint-Germain management is extremely tense.

Love stories often end badly, and this seems to be the case for Kylian Mbappé and PSG. The player’s future has been settled for a while now, as he is set to join Real Madrid. However, relations between him and his soon-to-be former club are strained, with President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi particularly displeased.

According to L’Equipe, once the player communicated his intention to leave last February, NAK ordered Mbappé to be partially sidelined, with him being a starter in important matches but often benched or substituted by Luis Enrique. Mbappé is convinced that the Spanish coach was forced to do so for non-sporting reasons.

PSG didn’t pay his April salary

Allegedly, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi instructed Luis Enrique to reduce Mbappé’s playing time. But that’s not all. Still according to L’Equipe, Mbappé did not receive his salary for last April, as well as a promised bonus from his contract that should have been paid in February.

Indeed, PSG reportedly paid Mbappé the promised loyalty bonus of €80 million in February, hoping to convince Real Madrid to cover it and thus reimburse this sum. Real Madrid logically refused, and PSG tried to recover this money by “forgetting” to pay the player’s salary for April, along with the February bonus, totaling approximately €80 million, the amount of the loyalty bonus.

Mbappé’s camp is demanding this money, while PSG defends itself by explaining that the player did not fulfill his commitments from last summer. Lawyers from both sides are now involved in a legal battle that could drag on.
