The president of FC Barcelona, a club interested in recruiting sensation Nico Williams, has commented on the Spanish winger.
He’s been the sensation of the Euros. Not necessarily for La Liga fans who have seen him in action all season, but for the wider audience, Nico Williams has been quite a discovery. The 21-year-old Basque winger excels on Spain’s left flank, displaying an effortless ability to create danger and bypass opponents… Even before the Euros, several top clubs were chasing him, including Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
The Catalan club appears to have the player’s favor should he decide to leave Athletic, though that decision is far from certain. He’s deeply attached to his academy club and doesn’t necessarily feel the need to leave quickly. Barcelona may recruit him regardless.
