Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal’s forward, now feels ready to compete in both the Premier League and the Champions League next season.

The Brazilian has already spent two seasons with the London club after joining from Man City for over €50 million.

While his first season was promising, Gabriel Jesus failed to convince Arsenal fans in the following season.

The player struggled to establish himself due to severe knee injuries that kept him out of competition for several months.

Determined to start afresh, the former Man City player had to forgo the 2024 Copa America to undergo surgery and fully recover.

Now, the Brazilian feels ready to bounce back, as he stated after the friendly match between his club and Man Utd, where Gabriel Jesus scored a goal. “My last preseason wasn’t good because I felt my knee, I had to undergo surgery, and I missed the entire preparation.

The return was difficult, but this season is different. I was able to enjoy my vacation, trained a lot, and focused on coming back well and having a good preseason. Now, I am in a different shape and can play football again,” said the Brazilian player.

Similarly, his coach Mikel Arteta has seen a player in progression and is very optimistic about him for the next season.

“He looks really good, he looks really sharp. Also, he changed a lot of things this summer, and he came back in perfect shape.

He needed to change some things, and he realized it. I am very happy with his preparation.

You notice something in his behavior, in his runs. You see a spark back in his eyes,” acknowledged the Basque coach.
