Pep Guardiola, the manager of Man City, has been dominating the Premier League for over 6 seasons now.
Barring a huge upset, the Spaniard is set to lift his fourth consecutive league title with his club on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
If he manages to do so by defeating West Ham at home on the final day of the season, Guardiola will thus break a record in the Premier League.
In the English top flight, no one has ever managed to win the championship for 4 seasons in a row, and the Sky Blues will be the first to achieve it as they are so close.
Even though the Spanish tactician currently reigns supreme in the league, he is aware that it won’t last forever.
The former Barcelona coach already has an idea of which club might give him trouble in the seasons to come within the English league. Pep Guardiola designates Arsenal as the club that will pose a challenge in the Premier League in the coming seasons.
“In the years to come, Arsenal will be there and will give us a good message, we cannot sleep. Otherwise, in the years to come, we will not be able to catch up with them.
So we must make good decisions in the future because he [Mikel Arteta] has changed a lot, and look at the product of his Arsenal,” said the Man City manager in an interview.
For the past two seasons, the Gunners have returned to the forefront, and Pep Guardiola sees them climbing further up the ranks in the years ahead.
