In February 2024, Paris SG officially parted ways with one of their unwanted players, Franco-Cameroonian Hugo Ekitike.
The striker, who joined PSG in 2022 from Reims, struggled to win over everyone within the French capital club.
With the departure of Christophe Galtier, who brought him in, the young forward found himself in a precarious position since Luis Enrique took over the club.
Ekitike hasn’t featured in any official matches since the start of this season, after the current PSG coach made it clear that he wasn’t in his plans.
He was therefore forced to find an exit to get back onto the pitch. While rumored for the Premier League, he landed in Germany, in the Bundesliga.
Hugo Ekitike indeed signed with Frankfurt, tasked with bolstering the offensive sector of the German club. The former PSG player joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with a purchase option of €30 million, which is almost obligatory.
Two months after his arrival at Eintracht Frankfurt, the former PSG striker has finally achieved a memorable milestone.
The young star has just opened his goal account against Augsburg in the Bundesliga.
Expected to soon join the Indomitable Lions squad and represent Cameroon, Hugo Ektike is gradually making his mark in his new club.
