It’s now official that Hervé Renard will leave the French women’s team after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, scheduled in the French capital from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
“This will be the last one, it’s the final stretch and in international competition sometimes, it ends very quickly, regardless of the date,” he announced in a press conference held today (Monday). “I’m used to it, this will be my 11th international competition. It won’t be without a touch of emotion.
The pride of having worn this uniform of the French team and finishing on a very positive note. There’s one step left to climb but I’m sure the French team will win a title in the short to medium term. Hoping it’s as soon as possible,” he continued.

The destination for Hervé Renard after the Paris 2024 Olympics remains unclear.
A potential return to Africa seems unlikely, especially since most African national teams have appointed new coaches after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
However, it’s highly probable that he will opt for a new adventure in Europe or Asia.
