Jürgen Klopp has admitted that Liverpool has become “too easy” for their opponents to play against as the season enters its crucial phase.
Liverpool will visit Fulham this Sunday, April 21, 2024, aiming to avoid any further slip-ups in the league.
The Reds trail Manchester City by two points and are level with Arsenal on goal difference.
However, recent results have been disappointing, with draws against Manchester United and losses against Crystal Palace in their last two league outings.
On Thursday, April 18, 2024, they were also knocked out of the Europa League quarter-finals after a 3-1 aggregate loss to Atalanta.
Klopp acknowledges the recent struggles but remains optimistic
Despite this, Jürgen Klopp remains optimistic about finishing the season on a high note. “That’s the challenge of football because you never play just for yourself; you always have an opponent.
So, we need to make sure we become that opponent for every team that they don’t want to play against.
We’ve made things a bit too easy, and we need to change that,” said Jürgen Klopp.
After facing Fulham, Liverpool will travel to Everton on Wednesday night for the final Merseyside derby of the Klopp era before taking on West Ham at the London Stadium next weekend.
