Kylian Mbappé is set to sign for Real Madrid. The French forward confirmed the news on Monday to President Emmanuel Macron during a visit to Clairefontaine.
Having been a free agent since the end of his contract with PSG, Kylian Mbappé has decided to join his dream club. After intense discussions, an agreement has been reached, and the official announcement of his transfer is expected in the coming hours.
On Monday, the Bondy native confirmed this news to President Macron. “Hello Kylian, how are you? Is it today that it’s announced, right?” Macron asked while shaking hands with the 2018 World Cup champion.
“Tonight, tonight,” Mbappé replied, in the presence of Didier Deschamps, coach of the French national team, and Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, Minister of Sports. It marks the closing of a chapter in French football history for the player who has been its ambassador for the past seven years.
