The Barcelona-based student born in 2006 has seen her TikTok account grow by over 700,000 followers since the two were first linked weeks ago.

Yamal, on the other hand, also saw a significant increase in his Instagram followers from the start of the tournament in Germany on June 14, 2024, to the final a month later. Lamine Yamal’s Instagram followers have increased by over 8 million since the beginning of the tournament.

Before the tournament began, Yamal had 7.3 million followers on the Meta platform.

On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, Barcelona also confirmed that the young player will wear a new jersey number, with the teenage sensation opting for shirt number 19 starting from the 2024/2025 season.

Lamine has now followed in the footsteps of his idol Lionel Messi, who also wore the same number for Barcelona in his early years at the Catalan club.
