Vinicius’ contract extension talks are stalling due to his salary demands and Real Madrid have reportedly decided not to give in.

According to information from the media Sport, Real Madrid will not give in to Vinicius’ salary demands. Florentino Perez remains cautious about the club’s players’ salaries. There is a salary scale that must not be exceeded.

Remember that to extend, Vinicius wants to earn the same salary or more than Kylian Mbappé. The Brazilian would be way ahead of Jude Bellingham.

Despite his status as a star of the club, Vinicius is far from being able to influence Florentino Perez. The Real Madrid player does not want to bow to the Brazilian for fear that the other players will take advantage of it to also ask for more for their signature.

The Brazilian is still tied to the club until 2027. Real Madrid offered him a 2-year extension, but he still brandished the threat of Saudi Arabia to push the club to accept his demands. Indeed, the Saudis offered him a 5-year contract with a huge salary at stake.

Real Madrid could sell Vinicius

At this rate, Real Madrid would be ready to part ways with Vinicius. Even if it would be reluctantly, the Merengues could sell him for a tempting offer.

And still according to Sport, the player would also be tempted to take a trip to the Gulf while having in his contract, a possibility of returning to Real Madrid as soon as possible. This offer will surely not suit the Saudis.

If Real Madrid refused to give in to Vinicius’ salary demands, it is mainly because he has the same salary as Kylian Mbappé. But the Frenchman surpasses him because he receives bonuses for having joined the White House for free.

This situation is not foreign to Florentino Perez. The very charismatic president of Real Madrid has already resisted in front of superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo or Sergio Ramos.

If the latter ended up leaving Spain after so many years of service to the club, it is certainly not Vinicius who will make Florentino Perez falter.
