Indeed, the footballer spoke about the surreal experience of meeting his childhood hero, Lionel Messi, for the first time.

In an interview, Diaz, who dubbed the Pulga as the best footballer on the planet, described the encounter as a “dream come true” and admitted he almost died of excitement.
Luis Diaz revealed he was struck by the meeting with Messi.
“I almost died, it was like a dream come true,” he said, still impressed by the encounter.
“I told him I was a big fan and he was very kind to me. He’s an idol, a legend, and it was an honor to meet him. Leo has always been my reference. Leo is the best player in the world. I love him.
“I have his jersey, I asked for it through another player, he signed it for me, and he wrote: ‘With affection for Luis,’” he added.
The Colombian forward expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet his idol and said he would cherish this memory forever.
“It’s a moment I’ll never forget, and I’m grateful to have met him,” Luis Diaz continued.
