The Inter Miami star, Lionel Messi, has revealed how he deals with players trying to unsettle him on the field by “ranting” at him.

The 36-year-old eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is currently one of the most effective dribblers in the game.

And when players are unable to stop or tackle him, they resort to trying to disrupt him; given the success he has had in his career, these antics also don’t work, and Messi explains how he handles it.

Messi’s remarks
Speaking in an interview with Infobae, the captain of the Argentine national team admitted that he gets angry with players on the field but said he doesn’t let it affect his game.

He attributed it to the game, stating that whatever happens on the field stays on the field.

“There are moments when you obviously get hot and react as you can,” Messi said. “There are moments that you don’t control. The heart rate is so high. We all want to win and we try to do our best for that, so you react as best you can. But getting more or less heated has no influence on the game.

I think it doesn’t change what I do. But well, I always say that whatever happens on the field stays there.

Anything can happen, mocking you, fighting with you, it has to stop there and end, and it can happen,” added La Pulga.

Meanwhile, although he is a fan and legend of Barcelona, Messi admitted that Real Madrid, Barcelona’s arch-rival, is the best team in the world, following their triumph in the Champions League.
