After Euro 2024, Luka Modric and Kylian Mbappé will likely meet at Real Madrid’s training center for the upcoming season. The Frenchman is set to join the Madrid club where the Croatian has been playing for several years.

The two players will be teammates, aiming to win trophies together wearing the Madrid colors. Mbappé will undoubtedly rely on Modric’s experience to guide him and offer advice as needed.

But for now, both players are representing their countries at Euro 2024 in Germany. Mbappé recently stirred some controversy with his remarks about the tournament being harder to win than the World Cup, citing the familiarity of European teams with each other.

This statement didn’t sit well with players like Raphinha and Luka Modric, the captain of the Croatian national team. Modric, in particular, believes the World Cup is the toughest competition due to its inclusion of the best teams from around the globe.

“Even though I don’t like comparisons, I’m certain that the World Cup is harder to win than the Euro, because it’s the only competition that brings together the best countries worldwide,” stated the former Tottenham midfielder.
