Sponsored by the Puma brand, Neymar regularly appears wearing jerseys from various teams supplied by the German equipment manufacturer.
Recently, the Brazilian star posted a photo of himself wearing the jersey of FC St. Pauli, currently 15th in the Bundesliga, on his Instagram account. The post sparked controversy in Germany.
The club’s supporters have expressed outrage online, denouncing Neymar’s political support for former president Jair Bolsonaro, known for his radical beliefs, while FC Sankt Pauli has a history of being anti-fascist.
