Paul Pogba: the Frenchman’s XXL announcement on his future

Paul Pogba made a stunning announcement about his future, as he is currently suspended.

Suspended for four years for doping after an “illicit” substance use, Paul Pogba has appealed this decision.

Awaiting the verdict, the 2018 World Cup champion expressed his support for the French team, who qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating Belgium (0-1).

When asked about his future by Sky Italia after the match, he was very clear:

“If you haven’t seen one of my interviews where I say I’m retiring, then it’s not like that, because I still feel like a footballer.”

Pogba wants to play football again!

He continued, “I want to fight this injustice. An old and false interview recently came out. Pogba hasn’t finished his career, Pogba is here and until you see me say otherwise, don’t worry. I want to play again, I feel like a kid who wants to become a professional.

Last I heard, I am still a Juventus player, I am under contract but I haven’t had the chance to talk to the president and the coach… it’s silent. I think they are waiting for the appeal result but you have to ask them,” he said. “It’s nice to feel people’s love again, I felt great love even though I’ve been away from the field for a while,” concluded the 2018 World Cup champion.

Can Pogba hope to play somewhere if the suspension is confirmed?

Suspended provisionally since September 11, Paul Pogba is unlikely to return to the field soon.

The CAS appeal is not suspensive, thus forcing the player to wait, at best if the Swiss jurisdiction drastically reduces his sentence, several months to hope to play. His contract with Juventus Turin, reunited in the summer of 2022, runs until 2026.

But the Italian club could decide to terminate it if the Frenchman remains convicted after exhausting his appeals.
