Since the beginning of his coaching career, Pep Guardiola has always maintained that no player is irreplaceable in his squad.

With the exception of Lionel Messi, to whom he holds unwavering admiration, the Manchester City coach has always treated each of his players in a very natural manner.

Guardiola’s tactical approach, focused on the team rather than individualities, gives him the ability to do without any player, without necessarily seeing his group decimated.

A few weeks ago, the coach had even indicated his willingness to part ways with his striker Erling Haaland if an offer came in.

“To have Haaland, it’s simple. You just need to make an offer and you’ll have him,” he declared without showing concern about a potential departure of the Norwegian cyborg.

However, Haaland is not the only one to have been treated in such a way by Pep Guardiola. A few months ago, Cole Palmer, a former Man City player, revealed the reasons why he left the Cityzens, despite wanting to continue under Pep Guardiola’s guidance.

Indeed, according to the Englishman, despite being given limited playing time at Man City, he wanted to join another club on loan to remain competitive.

This was rejected by Pep Guardiola, who assured him that if he left Man City, it would be permanent. So Cole Palmer joined Chelsea.

“I said I would go on loan and play for a year because I hadn’t played many minutes. But then Pep said, ‘either you stay, or you get sold.’ I was a bit confused as to why they wouldn’t let me go on loan, so I said I wanted to go to Chelsea, and I’m happy it worked out that way,” said Cole Palmer.

Currently, the young Englishman is joint-top scorer with Erling Haaland in the Premier League, with 20 goals and 9 assists.
