Beyond having a globally recognized football team, PSG also has teams in many other domains. Think of handball, judo, and the club even has a foothold in… the world of video games. PSG Talon is currently competing in the MSI, the global League of Legends tournament. And while things didn’t start well for them, Kylian Mbappé was brought into the conversation.

The best League of Legends teams in the world are currently in Chengdu, China, for the MSI, the Mid-Season Invitational. The tournament kicked off on Wednesday, May 1st, with the start of the play-in stage. The first match of the day pitted the American team FlyQuest against the team from Hong Kong, PSG Talon.

PSG Talon falls at MSI

Present in China with ambitions for this MSI, PSG Talon nonetheless stumbled in their first competition. Despite winning the first game of the best-of series against FlyQuest, PSG Talon then lost the following two games. However, the tournament isn’t over for them as they’ve been relegated to the Lower Bracket where they will face Estral Esports, who lost to T1 and Faker on Wednesday.

A rematch against FlyQuest… with Mbappé?

If PSG Talon wins against Estral Esports, they will then face the loser of the match between T1 and FlyQuest. Therefore, we could see a rematch against the Americans. Inspired, the jungler at FlyQuest, made a witty remark about this match. Following their victory on Wednesday, he posted a message on X, suggesting PSG Talon should bring in Kylian Mbappé, PSG’s star, to turn things around: “They should bring in Kylian Mbappé if there’s another match.”
