The club president has spoken about the season his “rebuilding” club has just experienced, and he seems rather pleased.
At the beginning of the season, little was expected from PSG, as the club was entering a rather intense rebuilding phase, marked by the departure of many stars and the arrival of a new coach, Luis Enrique.
The Parisian management had then chosen to recruit players mainly from the Paris region so that the team and supporters could re-establish a strong connection.
Luis Enrique would thus have to work with a group he hadn’t specifically trained, including players who might not suit him. But it must be acknowledged that the Spaniard has done an incredible job, as he has managed to win all the national trophies (league, French Cup, Champions Trophy) and has taken the club from the capital to the semi-finals of the Champions League, something unthinkable just a few months earlier.*
