PSG is gearing up for life without Kylian Mbappé. The capital club is now officially aware that their number 7 will not extend his contract and will leave the club in June, at the end of his current deal.

Accustomed to not starting him, Luis Enrique didn’t even call up Mbappé for the last two Ligue 1 matches. And he might do the same for the Coupe de France final.

In February, Kylian Mbappé informed his club that he wouldn’t be extending his contract and would consequently depart PSG at the end of the season. Real Madrid could be his destination, and it’s plausible that his last game with PSG was against Toulouse last Sunday…

Mbappé sat out the last two Ligue 1 matches. Against Nice last Wednesday, Kylian Mbappé didn’t feature in the match officially due to injury. However, Luis Enrique’s handling of him raises other questions, especially since this Sunday, in the final match of the season against Metz, Kylian Mbappé wasn’t even in the squad.

Is Luis Enrique ready to do without Mbappé in the Coupe de France?

For L’Équipe, the question of whether Kylian Mbappé will be present for the Coupe de France final against Lyon on May 25th arises. While his presence is still probable, Luis Enrique would be perfectly capable of foregoing it. We’ll know in less than a week.
