Even though Kylian Mbappé’s aura has filled every corner of Paris Saint-Germain’s locker rooms, for their president Nasser, the boss’s hat covers the head of another person.

During press conferences in Sardinia, the president faced a question-and-answer session with journalists.

When asked by a CNN journalist who “will be the star at the club?” following Mbappé’s departure, the president stated: “It’s not about a player, but the team.”

“To the journalist, I replied: the team, the collective.”

Regarding the club’s journey in the Champions League, even though the dream objective wasn’t achieved, the president holds fond memories.

He notably expressed his respect for coach Luis Enrique. “The boss is coach Luis Enrique. I trust him, and he’s doing a remarkable job.

And if we had been eliminated by Newcastle (in the Champions League group stage), I would have said exactly the same thing.

Because I know and knew that we are on the right path. And the same goes for next season, if you ask me if we want to win the UCL, I will say yes, but it’s not our objective.

We aim to do our best and to continue building our team.

Even if we lost to Dortmund, if you ask me if I’m satisfied with the season, I will tell you yes,” he affirmed.
