Kylian Mbappé’s future has been clear for several weeks now, with the French striker clearly heading for a move away and a signing for Real Madrid. Nevertheless, rumours have been circulating about a possible turnaround should PSG reach the Champions League final. But that seems impossible.
Kylian Mbappé is set to leave PSG at the end of his contract to sign for Real Madrid. The hotshot from Bondy will therefore be leaving seven years after his arrival in Paris and two years after his last contract extension. The contract runs until 30 June 2024.
No chance of Mbappé changing his mind
However, is there any chance that PSG’s highly successful season, which may even go down in history, will convince Kylian Mbappé to change his mind? Will qualification for the Champions League final have an impact? According to Le Parisien, the answer is clear: no chance. Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, nothing seems likely to change Kylian Mbappé’s mind.
Mbappé made his choice a long time ago
It has to be said that back in the summer, Kylian Mbappé dropped a big hint by refusing to activate the clause in his contract allowing him to extend his contract by a further season. And on 9 February, he announced to his management, and then to his team-mates, his intention to leave PSG at the end of the season. A firm and definitive decision.
