Xavi Simons, coming off a strong season with RB Leipzig, is a player generating significant buzz at the beginning of this transfer window.

The Dutch international has reportedly informed PSG of his intention to leave this summer. Simultaneously, he has reached an agreement with Bayern Munich, who are now negotiating with PSG.

On loan at RB Leipzig after a successful spell at PSV Eindhoven, Xavi Simons has further affirmed his potential in the Bundesliga. Consequently, the Dutch midfielder is in high demand. PSG, where he is contracted until 2027, is cautious and likely waiting until after the Euros to finalize his future. However, Simons appears determined to make a move.

According to RMC Sport, Xavi Simons has already communicated his desire to leave PSG this summer. Despite Kylian Mbappé’s departure, the young Dutchman seems unconvinced about his playing time prospects in Paris, as the club prioritizes reinforcing its attacking options, including a pursuit of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Simultaneously, Simons has reportedly agreed terms with Bayern Munich, with an estimated annual salary of €6 million gross, potentially rising to €10-12 million with bonuses. Bayern will now negotiate with PSG, where Simons remains under contract until 2027. A straight transfer seems unlikely, suggesting a loan deal with or without an option to buy. As such, Xavi Simons’ departure is taking shape.
